The specialism of the Academy, which has been agreed with the Local Authority to fit in with provision across the borough, is Science & Technology with Business & Enterprise.
We believe that this is attractive to local parents because it is both academic and vocational, serving well to inspire and equip our students to fully participate in the thriving business and IT-based globalised economy of the 21st century. This specialism has enhanced coverage, not only as subjects in their own right but also as a means of interpreting and delivering all aspects of the curriculum and increasing the coherence of each student’s overall learning experience.
The Academy will forge links with both local and national employers to enhance students’ ‘education for life’. Working with other local schools, Oasis Academy Coulsdon will offer a unique resource to the local community.
