Friday 14 May has been designated ‘ACE’ Day at Oasis Academy Coulsdon.
A mammoth Academy Celebration Event was organised and provided students with the opportunity to experience a wide variety of enrichment activities as well as introduce them to new skills. At the end of the day students will perform and exhibit what they have learnt in a celebration assembly.
There were over 50 different activities laid on for students led by staff, external providers and supporters of the Academy.
One special guest that students were thrilled to meet was Southampton winger Jason Puncheon, who agreed to run a football masterclass.
Year 11 students were very excited that local driving instructor, Roger Buckingham of What Car? Driving School agreed to provide a ‘driving experience’ for them within the Academy grounds.
Music Producer Jermaine McKenzie showed students how to mix the decks and talked to them about careers in music media.
Cheerleading, hairstyling, Indian Dancing, cake decorating, kick boxing, street dancing, cricket, journalism and wedding re-enactments were just some of the other activities that took place.
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
