Following the Government’s recent announcement regarding cuts in funding to the Education budget and the scrapping of Building Schools for the Future (BSF), Oasis Academy Coulsdon are pleased and encouraged to be able to announce that there will be no negative impact on the current plans for redevelopment.
Although discussions between the Department for Education (DfE) and the numerous Local Authorities and Academy Sponsors will be ongoing, we have assurance that our advanced plans will not be affected by this recent news.
In a list published on the DfE website, Oasis Academy Coulsdon was described as ‘Unaffected’ by the cuts, and all involved are looking forward in anticipation.
Aredi Pitsiaeli, Director of Business and Strategic Development for Oasis Community Learning, said, “We are pleased that the latest cuts to the Education budget and the freezing of the BSF programme have not adversely affected our plans for Oasis Academy Coulsdon. We want to reassure all staff, students and parents/carers that all of our combined efforts will not be wasted; our plans to significantly redevelop the Academy are all on track and we are looking forward to the completion of this next phase.”
