13 IDENTICAL GCSE GRADES FOR TWINS AMY & MELISSA!

High flying twins, Amy & Melissa Gullett, aged 16, from Oasis Academy Coulsdon jetted back from their family holiday in Greece to collect their eagerly anticipated GCSE and AS Level results from Oasis Academy Coulsdon.  And the question everyone wanted to know was: were their results identical?

Both girls are celebrating having achieved a total of 18.5 GCSEs each at the top A*, A & B grades in all their subjects, 13 of which were identical grades!  In addition, the girls sat an AS Level in Religious Studies which they took a year early, and both girls achieved the same grade!

Amy & Melissa,  who live in Old Coulsdon, returned to England in 2002, having spent four years living in Greece.  They took their first GCSE in Year 7 in Greek  and, not surprisingly, each achieved the top A* grade.

As part of the Academy’s Gifted & Talented Group, they sat some of their GCSEs in Year 9 and last year they took four GCSEs achieving matching A and A* grades in all but one subject!

“ We got the same marks in primary school too.  It’s a bit creepy sometimes but not really that surprising.”  Said Melissa.

“There was a bit of pressure on us to get an A* in Greek” said Amy, “but apart from that we’ve just got on with things.  Most times we revised together and tried to help each other if one of us found something a bit difficult.”

Mum, Susan Chrysanthou said: “When we first returned from Greece, it took both of them a while to get used to being back and settle into school. I am so proud of them; they worked really hard and thoroughly deserve their success”.

The twins are the highest achieving girl students in the Academy.

Head Boy Anish Jalabhay, 16, from Old Coulsdon is the top achieving boy at the Academy who has also achieved 18.5 top grade GCSEs :

A* in Citizenship, RE, English Literature, English Language, Food Technology

A in Maths, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Business Studies, French, Humanities, Latin and ICT (worth 2 GCSEs)

B in Geography & Physics

As well as being the top achieving boy student, Anish also has one of the highest attendance records in the Academy – with over 98% attendance during five years of secondary education!

Principal David Millar said:  I am very proud of all our students, many of whom have achieved above predicted target grades.  I am also very pleased to report a significant increase in that the number of students achieving the top A*-C grades with our provisional analysis showing 82% of Year 11 achieving 5A*-C grades, an increase of 21% from last year."

Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
