Over 50 students applied to the Academy 'Cook Off' all eager to be selected as our representative for the Rotary Young Chef competition. Choosing only 10 students proved very difficult.
To enter, the students had to devise a healthy 2-course menu, either a starter and main course or a main course and dessert, for under £14.00.
10 students were selected and produced some mouthwatering meals for the judges to sample. Overall winner was Anish Jalabhay, with Anthony Vazquez coming a close second and Monique La-fatt third.
Anish will represent the Academy in the Rotary Young Chef regional heats which will take place at Merton College in March.
The other 7 competitors were: Michael Sketchley and Tharshini Bahsingham in Year 11, Aneeque Safdar, Year 10, Shane Baker, Year 9, Amara Mayers Year 8, Nathan Jeal and Esther Amedume in Year 7.
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
