The Sixth Form Centre overlooks the Academy’s stunning central Agora and has specialist tutorial rooms, dedicated ICT suites, new Science laboratories, independent study areas, central resources and social areas. Our team of highly qualified subject specialists and career experts deliver a first class education, guidance and support to our young men and women.
In March 2011, HMI Inspectors judged us as a ‘good’ school, ‘providing its students with a good quality of education’. Ofsted Inspectors particularly praised our ‘clear procedures, which help ensure students make well-informed choices about their future lives”. Students here know that their success and helping them achieve their career goals are our highest priority.
We provide a wealth of academic, enrichment and leadership opportunities for our Sixth Form students to enjoy. A wide variety of AS and A2 subjects are available as well as vocational courses. In addition, we have developed links with Coulsdon College which complements our exciting and extensive Sixth Form offer for our students.
Sixth Form life at Oasis Academy Coulsdon offers a combination of structured school security coupled with more flexibility and freedom within a carefully planned and personalised timetable. Recognised by Ofsted as providing ”a caring environment in which students develop a clear sense of values”, students are supported by a team of Sixth Form staff who work with them, challenging them to achieve their very best, advising and guiding them to make informed.decisions about their future careers so they can progress to university, further training or enter the world of work
Sixth Form students are leaders, role models and ambassadors of the Academy. Their maturity is respected and they enjoy special privileges such as sole use of new sports facilities including dance studio, fitness suite and floodlit all-weather pitches, at designated times during and after the Academy day.
A full programme of social and enrichment opportunities is organised by Sixth Form Student Leaders, and there are also opportunities to undertake voluntary work abroad through our links with the wider Oasis community.
