Staff take on the Watermelon Challenge!

To celebrate International Women’s Day this year, our Student Council challenged our staff to the Watermelon Challenge! During lunch on Friday 8th March, we were all thoroughly entertained by five of our male teachers having watermelons strapped to their stomach’s and trying to carry out basic everyday tasks.

It's The Hard-Knock Life!

This year’s annual musical production from the students of OAC was the popular adaptation of Annie for schools; Annie Jr the Musical! Running for a matinee and two evening performances, the show was a sell out and wowed audiences who gave it a standing ovation!

Year 10 student wins first prize in this year’s SACRE competition

On Friday 26th January 2024, students from Oasis Academy Coulsdon were invited to attend the local Holocaust Memorial Ceremony at Croydon Townhall. With addresses from the Civic Mayor, Councillor Tony Pearson, and speeches from Marilyn Arbisman from the Croydon Synagogue and Timothy Locke from Generation2Generation, the theme of this year was the ‘Fragility of Freedom’.

Christmas Miracles 2023

Each year students, staff, and parents at Oasis Academy Coulsdon perform little acts of kindness within our community to spread some Christmas cheer. At the end of a very challenging term for our family at OAC following the loss of two members of our student body, we wanted to make sure that our Christmas Miracles were still celebrated in some way.

Students Cycle & Row 101 Miles for Men's Mental Health

On Friday 17th November, students at Oasis Academy Coulsdon took to the rowing machines and exercise bikes in an attempt to row and cycle 101 miles for International Men’s Day. This figure was chosen as it represents the number of men who commit suicide each week in the UK.

GCSE Results Day 2023

The wait is over- GCSE results day 2023 finally arrived on Thursday 24th August, and students at Oasis Academy Coulsdon were greeted with envelopes that contained the best ever GCSE results in English and Maths the Academy has achieved. As national results saw a dip in the 2023 exams, students at OAC have secured amazing grades, with almost 70% attaining a 4 or above in English and Maths and 49% securing 5 or above.
