Welcome from the Friends' of Oasis Academy Coulsdon (FOAC)!

Welcome to the FOAC's page of the website! The FOAC is our Academy's Parent Teacher Association. We play an important role in Academy life by raising funds to improve equipment and resources to enhance our children's education at the Academy. We also provide funds to facilitate their extra-curricular projects and the ‘extras’ too. Money has gone towards many items, for example a laser cutter, heat press, school football team strip, and also free time play equipment. 

We are hoping over the coming year to assist with a big project .This only comes with the support of the families of the students at our events.

But the role of the FOAC is about much, much more than just fundraising: we are proud to assist in providing closer links between your home and the Academy; we are an excellent means of bringing the students, staff, parents, and our friends together socially in support of the Academy.

The FOAC operates through a committee and we try to ensure that each Family is represented and has a voice on how funds are spent. We hold formal meetings approximately once a term but appreciate that it can be difficult to get to evening meetings which is why we encourage people to join even though we might not see them that often!

FOAC fundraising is great fun!

We are pleased to receive a lot of support and encouragement from both the Academy and Parents/Carers. Without this support, it would not be possible to succeed in our fundraising endeavours. Joining a committee might seem daunting, but it is a great way to get to know how the Academy works and meet fellow parents and teachers at the same time. We really do appreciate any help, however big or small that help might be. We run a number of events throughout the year to raise funds. Keep an eye on the calendar to see what is coming up. Not all of our events are run as fundraisers. We assist at a number of events such as the annual Sports' Fest and Academy production's which are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support of the FOAC.

Shop Online and help raise funds for the Academy.

 Easyfundraising.org.uk helps charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes to raise money when their supporters shop online. It works in a similar way to many other loyalty shopping sites, but instead of earning points when you shop, you raise a donation for the Academy instead! It's as  simple as that!

You can shop with over 2,000 well known stores and each will donate up to 15% of what you spend. For example, John Lewis will donate 1%, Amazon 1.5%, The Body Shop 6%, some insurance retailers will even donate up to £30 simply for taking out a policy with them!

FOAC Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Our Annual General Meeting is held during the Autumn term.  This is an opportunity for anyone to come along and hear in more detail about the events that we have run and the funds that we have raised and more importantly, how your money has been spent.  It is also the occasion when we elect our new Committee.
