Oasis Academy Coulsdon boasts a wide variety of clubs and teams available for all students. These include Football and Basketball teams for all boys in each year, girls Netball teams across years 7-9, a handful of Cross Country runners representing the borough, our very own Fitness session every Friday, Rugby for students in all year groups, and many more.
Sports Clubs include:
Rugby in affiliation with the RFU who have provided new posts out on our sports fields. Thanks also go to parent Russell Taylor who assists in coaching the teams.
Weights and fitness club is very popular with our year 11 students who are able to use the facilities from 3-4.30pm on week nights.
Table Tennis Club - the whole Academy is table tennis mad! There's a weekly club and fiercely competitive tournaments are regularly organised. Thanks to our parent's group FOAC, outdoor table tennis tables have been purchased and available in the playground.
Fitness Friday has been growing and growing and students and teachers are all benefiting from some serious exercise while having some fun too! It was really encouraging to see a lot of new students there during the last academic year, with a large number making it a regular fixture in the weekly enrichment timetable.
All students in GCSE year groups have PE time built in to their timetables to ensure they are keeping active and have the opportunity to burn off excess energy during their busy schedules. GCSE PE is offered as an option in our curriculum allowing students with a passion for the subject to gain the qualification.
